Our team and background

Placecap was founded in 2023 by Reza Machdi-Ghazvini and Alexander Blodow, who bring more than 35 years of combined experience in private markets fundraising and investor advisory.

Reza and Alex met at Eurazeo, where they worked closely together for six years expanding the international institutional investor base across the DACH region, the Nordics and the Netherlands. Their focus spanned private equity, private debt and infrastructure.

During this time, they developed a highly tailored advisory approach defined by disciplined execution, measurable results, and a strong dedication to providing the highest level of client service. This led to deep, long-standing relationships with institutional investors.

Reza is in client facing roles for 20 years and is responsible for business development and GP-relations as well as fundraising activities in Switzerland, UK, Nordics and the Middle East.
